Our genuine relationship with members is reflected in our Canstar award for having Australia's Most Satisfied Customers.We currently have a rare opportunity for an experienced Claims Assessor to join our team on either a full time or part time basis working minimum 22.5 hours per week (0.60 FTE) The days and hours of this position are flexible and negotiable for the right candidate.About the roleReporting to the Claims Team Leader, you will be responsible for the end to end processing of Private Health Insurance claims including data entry, monitoring, reviewing and verifying whilst ensuring they comply with fund and business rules and individual contracts.  The role also includes following up and liaising with members regarding claims as well as other internal departments as required.About youIdeally, you will have a health insurance claims background and possess an understanding and working knowledge of health insurance regulatory requirements with strong analytical skills. Alternatively, you may have experience working with a healthcare provider, hospital administration or medical practice and be willing to learn more about claim processing with a private health insurer.  This position requires efficient and accurate data entry with an ability to analyse information to ensure compliance with health industry standards and contracts.
